Name Art is at the very heart of Charis's brainchild...hence the business name! It is an exciting concept created by Charis, incorporating names into one of her existing stunning pieces of artwork. Each name is lovingly incorporated, initially by hand, with the final result becoming the ultimate personalised wow factor on a placemat, canvas, plaque...or even a t-shirt.
Please note: If you require a brand new design (such as 'Mandy in a liquorice allsort?!) it is considered a piece of commissioned art.
Step One: Charis begins her design process by drawing the name with a fine-tipped black pen.
Step Two: The hand drawing is now scanned into the computer. This stage is crucial and requires much patience as Charis painstakingly neatens the edges of the name (on a name like 'Tallulah' there are quite a lot of edges!) and adds that all important splash of colour.
Step Three: This is Charis's favourite stage and the most exciting bit. As she adds details, embossing and other clever effects, she transforms the design which then "comes alive".
Step Four: Name Art is proud to use UK-based suppliers and is thrilled that most of these companies are situated in its home county - wonderful Wiltshire!
